We have sent off our letter of objection to the planning application for Phase 2 of Imperial West. The text of our letter can be found here SHRA to LBHF on Imperial West application.V6.
In our letter, we argue that Imperial could have chosen to go for a development that met its own accommodation needs, with reduced building heights and densities, rather than opting to maximise the commercial gain from the site for itself and its financial partner Voreda Capital. We as neighbouring residents are paying the price for the substantial profits that both parties hope to make from this development.
Woodlands Area Residents have also sent in a very well prepared and argued leaflet, setting out their objections. This includes visual images and can be found here Woodlands_Objection.
Imperial has sent a written response to the questions we have asked about its financial relationship with Voreda, and about the financial gains that both parties expect to make from the development (see our pages on Imperial West Financing). Although March 8th was the deadline for comments as notified by H&F and letters sent out by RBK&C, Hammersmith & Fulham Planning department will continue to take note of any further letters sent in over the next few weeks.
